What is Solar Thermal Assisted HVAC-R?

A solar thermal assisted heated and cooling system. Utilizing the free energy from the sun to reduce the demand side energy usage of the HVAC-R. This technology can be used on all types of refrigeration, comfort cooling and heating applications.

In addition to being supplied as a complete packaged solution for all application , our solar thermal panels can also be retrofitted onto most types of existing: screw type, inverter and staged scroll for refrigeration & HVAC, in the heating & cooling modes.

What is "Net Zero"?

“Net Zero” refers to the balance between greenhouse gasses produced in the atmosphere and the removal of these gasses from the atmosphere to reduce global warming. Net zero is the best way to tackle today’s climate change issues.

Reduction in global warming and what steps we take for the coming decade to limit emissions will be critical to the future and its upcoming generations. Therefore, it is important to understand the urgency and find ways to cut the carbon we produce.

Coal, oil, and gas production annually emits billions of tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. Human activity produces record levels of greenhouse gas emissions with no signs of slowing down. According to NASA, the year 2022 is tied with the year 2015 for the 5th warmest year on Earth since 1880.

Climate change is alarming, and the only way to mitigate climate change is to reduce emissions due to human activities. India is aiming to achieve a target of net-zero emissions by 2070. Many corporate giants in India have set targets of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. These include Aditya Birla Group, Adani Transmission, Mahindra & Mahindra, Vedanta, and Reliance Industries.

Following the same path, AYKKA also aims to provide solutions that align with India’s goals of achieving net zero, contributing to the growing Indian economy.

- How Solar Thermal HVAC-R Works?

The Boost in Thermal Energy Boosts the Efficiency of the HVAC-R

  • Our Solar thermal panels are placed between Compressor and Condenser as an auxiliary heat exchanger which utilizes the free available energy from the sun to heat the refrigerant.
  • The molecules now move with a higher velocity which in turn creates an improved Delta T at the condenser, increased sub-cooling and better quality of liquid at expansion. Hence it reducing the workload of the compressors.
  • The hotter the sun shines, the more the solar takes over the heating of the gas and the more power is saved.
  • The compressor acts now mainly as a pump, providing the necessary cycle flow.
